It is very well maintained, a joy for the eyes and a great challenge for players. Not recommended for high handicaps.

Each hole has 5 tee-times, it is a long course and the biggest in Portugal.

The most famous course is Quinta do Lago Sur course. It was designed by William Mitchell and opened in 1974, rising to prestige through its 8 times hosting of the Portugal Open.
The most famed hole here and one of the most photographed in the Algarve is number 15, a memorable par-3, which requires a 20-metre right shot over a lake from a championship tee surrounded by pine trees.
