GOLF CLUB ALCANADA
This 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 2003. Situated in the north of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, Alcanada is right beside the sea.
Its 6.499 metre length blends in naturally with the typical Mallorcan scenery. You can see the island of Alcanada from most of the holes with its lighthouse which inspires the club logo. Apart from the splendid seaview, the player is surrounded by pine forests and olive trees.
Although it is a new course, Alcanada has already been recognised by a large number of golf magazines and guidebooks as one of the best courses in Spain and Europe.
It enjoys impeccable course maintenance and its greens were remodelled in 2008 making them fast and clear and of exceptional quality.
SON VIDA GOLF
Son Vida is the oldest course in Mallorca and a legend for players all over Europe.
Its paths pass along the mansions of the prestigious suburb of Son Vida, with spectacular views of Palma bay, and it is sited in the middle of dense woodland. All of this confers a sense of tradition and distinction.
The technical design of the course, the speed of the greens and regular obstacles demand an intelligent game plan while also ensuring great enjoyment for the more inexperienced players.
Impressive hole 5 with a second shot over the water is a temptation for the more daring golfers.
GOLF SON GUAL
Son Gual is a private golf club, family-owned, where visitors are always welcome providing that they enjoy the game, are familiar with and respect the norms of etiquette.
The design by Thomas Himmel de Son Gual is challenging, well thought out, incredibly demanding and converts this 156-hectare hilly landscape into one of the best courses in the Mediterranean region.
The course is designed in the shape of two large turns. The first nine holes are spread along the perimeter of the course with the following nine placed towards the interior.
The course is integrated between large lakes with streams which were planned as sources of irrigation forming at the same time an attractive architectural landscape and which now also serve as demanding obstacles.
